Humble Beginnings

Zechariah‬ ‭4:10a‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…

Hello and welcome to Destiny Giving. My name is Lonny Bingle, and I am the founder of Destiny. I am a Pastor who has been in full-time ministry since 1981. Destiny Giving is the culmination of a dream that began in 2017 and became a reality in 2023. The dream was to create a digital donation service that would act like a concierge-giving platform for churches that would provide one account representative for each organization. What would it be like to be able to pick up the phone and talk to the same person?

I had become disillusioned with payment systems that promised the world and barely delivered my neighborhood. I discovered that the BOLD PRINT giveth, and the fine print taketh away. When reviewing different services, I soon glossed over trying to understand everything they were talking about.

But, like Solomon’s conclusion in Ecclesiastes, it boiled down to some simple concepts.

  1. Is it easy to donate?
  2. Is it easy to record donations?
  3. Is it reliable?
  4. Is it secure?
  5. Is there great customer support?
  6. Is there the opportunity to grow?

This is important

I won’t try to impress you with all our magnificent features (I am a bit biased; therefore, anything I write might come across as lousy marketing). Still, I will let you know that I have included a FAQ section below for those who may want to gloss over and catch up on some much-needed sleep.

Destiny Giving does not market to the masses. We aim to maintain the concierge customer support aspect that we all appreciate. We recognize that your confidence in us goes beyond any feature we might provide. The bottom line is the simplicity, security, and service you deserve.

Please consider us as having a secret tech department in your hip pocket. If you need us to do something, we can do it! Remember, regardless of what anybody claims, there is no free ride. Everybody has expenses that cannot be “Free” from ALL processing companies. Those are beyond our control. Remember the BOLD PRINT and the fine print. Like others, you can ask donors to pay for those expenses, but they still exist.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Destiny costs?

I was naive when I first got involved in the digital donation world. That is where I learned that NOTHING is free, regardless of the marketing. And boy, did I get marketed. I just wanted to preach, not be involved in a tech world, but out of necessity, I had to educate myself on the intricacies of that arena (not that I needed to; I am just a bit of a control freak).

During that exploration, I realized there were so many hidden fees that comprised the overall cost of any service. The real question to ask is, what are my overall expenses? Many companies will quote you a processing fee. Still, that fee does not include sign-up fees, software fees, app fees, minimum monthly expenses, gateway fees, customer support fees, tech support fees, reporting fees, early termination fees, record fees (for early termination), etc. Many churches often experience an additional 1-3% extra fees they were not expecting. Our fee structure is simple.

Processing fees 2.60% All cards including American Express +$.20/transaction. ACH fees are .50% + $1.00 Transaction fee capped at $5.00. Destiny charges a simple .25% for all transactions. So, 2.85% + $.20/transaction all-inclusive for cards, .5% + $1 capped at $5 with a .25% Chrimata fee.

The beauty of Destiny is that your donors can add all processing fees to their donation, which may result in a net of $0.00 for the organization. The only requirement is to make at least one transaction every 90 days.

How easy is Destiny to use?

Our app is completely in the cloud, so no downloads are necessary. All updates are automatic for all users and organizations. Once a donor has setup their profile, recurring donations can be automated and one-time donations take less than 15 seconds on average. Cash and check donations are easy to record so all giving records are in one place. No need for multiple programs or third party applications for giving records.

Is Destiny reliable?

Destiny is highly reliable, with an impressive 99.99% uptime (brief downtimes for program upgrades). Any downtime does not affect recurring giving transactions at all. Therefore, you will never lose a recurring donation to any downtime.

Is Destiny secure?

Destiny Giving has partnered with Stax Processing to provide the best service possible. Stax has the distinguished honor of being the #1 processor as the “Best credit card processor,” according to U.S. News and World Reports. has the highest level of PCI-DSS security.

Why Destiny?

Destiny was created for ministry by a Pastor with over 40 years of experience after speaking with many friends who were also frustrated with their current systems. Most of our features that go beyond receiving and recording donations were implemented with the idea of helping ministries stay in touch with their donors. Our users have many suggestions, and we enjoy working to make Destiny the best possible service for all our users.

What type of payments can Destiny accept?

Destiny allows your donors to use all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) and direct (ACH) bank transfers. A nice feature is that all the above can also be set up on a recurring giving schedule, building confidence for future donations. Destiny also allows you to record all cash, checks, and other forms of payment so that all giving records are in one place—no need for third-party programs.
